More information about Lodovico Toscana IGT - Tenuta di Biserno
The barrel-aged Lodovico Toscana from the wine-growing region of Tuscany is a dense purple-red in the glass. This Tenuta di Biserno red wine shows all kinds of blackcurrants on the nose. As if that wasn't already impressive, further aromas such as liquorice, chocolate and coconut are added due to the ageing in small wooden barrels.
On the palate, the Lodovico Toscana from Tenuta di Biserno starts off pleasantly aromatic, fruity and balanced. This velvety red wine is full-bodied and multi-layered on the palate. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region, more precisely from Terratico di Bibbona DOC, impresses with a remarkable aftertaste.
Vinification of the Lodovico Toscana from Tenuta di Biserno
The basis for the powerful Lodovico Toscana from Italy are grapes from the Cabernet Franc and Merlot varieties. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. At the end of this process, the powerful Lodovico Toscana is matured for 16 months in oak barriques.
