More information about Leonidas Barbera d'Asti DOCG - Guido Mazzarello

The barrel-aged Leonidas Barbera d'Asti from the Piedmont wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in a bright ruby red. In the glass, this red wine from Guido Mazzarello reveals aromas of plums and blackberries, complemented by cloves. The Leonidas Barbera d'Asti from Guido Mazzarello starts off wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic on the palate. This dense red wine is balanced and complex on the palate. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region finally delights with good length. There are again hints of plum and blackberry.

Vinification of Leonidas Barbera d'Asti by Guido Mazzarello

The well-balanced Leonidas Barbera d'Asti from Italy is a single-varietal wine made from the Barbera grape variety. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
