More information about Ladisberg Grüner Veltliner - Markus Altenburger

The elegant Ladisberg Grüner Veltliner from the pen of Markus Altenburger shimmers into the glass with a bright platinum yellow. Swiveling the glass, one can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. With a little time in the glass, this white wine from the Old World reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of quince and ripe apple, rounded out by other fruity nuances contributed by the barrel aging.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine Icon wine segment, this Austrian naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. Balanced and complex, this light white wine presents itself on the palate. The finale of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region the Burgenland, more precisely from Leithaberg / Neusiedlersee-Hügelland, finally convinces with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Ladisberg Grüner Veltliner by Markus Altenburger

This balanced white wine from Austria is organically vinified from the grape variety Grüner Veltliner. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Burgenland. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone. Ladisberg Grüner Veltliner is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Austrian breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the harvest, the grapes arrive swiftly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in concrete and small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.

Food recommendation for the Ladisberg Grüner Veltliner by Markus Altenburger

Drink this organic white wine from Austria ideally moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C as a companion to fruity endive salad, omelet with salmon and fennel or coconut-lime fish curry.
