In the glass, La Closerie de Camensac Haut-Médoc from Château Camensac presents a bright purple color. Tilting the glass slightly, a transition of the wine color towards garnet red can be seen at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. Swiveling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out on the glass walls in a watery, syrupy or liqueur-like manner. This French cuvée shows wonderfully expressive notes of blackcurrant in the glass. This is joined by hints of vanilla, tobacco and leather.

The Château Camensac La Closerie de Camensac Haut-Médoc presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. In Bordeaux, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and gravel. La Closerie de Camensac Haut-Médoc is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the harvest, the grapes arrive swiftly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
