More information about L'Orangerie de Carignan Rouge AOP - Château Carignan

In the glass, the L'Orangerie de Carignan Rouge from Château Carignan offers a dense purple color. This French cuvée shows in the glass wonderfully expressive notes of raspberries, red currant, black currants and strawberries. These are joined by hints of other fruits.

On the palate, the L'Orangerie de Carignan Rouge from Château Carignan starts pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. This velvety red wine is full-bodied and complex on the palate. In the finish, this youthful wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of strawberry and black currant appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and gravel are added.

Vinification of the L'Orangerie de Carignan Rouge from Château Carignan

The basis for the powerful L'Orangerie de Carignan Rouge from Bordeaux are grapes from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and gravel. The grapes for this red wine from France, at the time of optimal ripeness, are harvested particularly quickly and preferably in the morning to preserve their aroma. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for Château Carignan L'Orangerie de Carignan Rouge

This French red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to cabbage roulades, spinach gratin with almonds or leek soup.
