Wines that are fun to make - that is the motto of the family Kirchner. Fun at work brings out the best in people, and so the family can put all their heart and soul into their wines to keep the quality high and express their terroir at its best.
Kirchner Winery - the Palatinate and its terroir
founded in 1974, the family business is now run by Ralph Kir chner. Located in the Palatinate near Friensheim, it is in prime region for high quality wines from sites such as:
Herxheim
Dackenheim
Weisenheim on the sand
Kallstadter Saumagen
In the vineyards of the Kirchners
Less is more - according to this maxim, work is done in the vineyards at Kirchner. Ecological economy, which offers only low yields, in return maximum quality as well as a sustainable result, so that the vineyards can produce high quality yields again and again. The hand is still the working tool of choice here to turn the grape juice into wine. The Riesling, Burgundy and St. Laurent grape varieties thrive on 17 hectares of vineyards. The ratio is 60% white and 40% red.
The portfolio of Weingut Kirchner
The Kirchner Winery produces wines of various quality levels, starting with the solid estate wines up to first-class site wines, you will find a rich selection. In addition, Riesling and Chardonnay sparkling wines are also produced, and a white and rosé sparkling wine are also included. The wines are regularly mentioned and tested in the trade press, for example in Eichelmann, Meininger or Gault Millau.
