More information about Igino Cabernet Sauvignon Rosso Veronese IGT - Fasoli Gino
The Igino Cabernet Sauvignon Rosso Veronese from the pen of Fasoli Gino from Veneto shows a dense, purple-red color in the swirled glass. Held at a slight angle, a transition of the wine's color towards garnet red is visible at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. When the glass is swirled, this red wine reveals a high level of density and richness, which can be seen in the strong stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. The first nose of the Igino Cabernet Sauvignon Rosso Veronese presents notes of blackcurrant and prune. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity, balsamic nuances.
On the palate, the Igino Cabernet Sauvignon Rosso Veronese from Fasoli Gino starts off wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. There is dry and really dry. This red wine belongs to the latter group, as it was bottled with just 1.6 g of residual sugar. The texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety on the palate. The Igino Cabernet Sauvignon Rosso Veronese reveals itself to be impressively fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its concise fruit acidity. The finish of this mature red wine from the Veneto wine-growing region impresses with a remarkable finish.
Vinification of the Igino Cabernet Sauvignon Rosso Veronese from Fasoli Gino
The basis for the powerful Igino Cabernet Sauvignon Rosso Veronese from Veneto are grapes from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation for several months in oak barriques.
