The I Tratturi Primitivo from Cantine San Marzano is an uncomplicated, grape varietal red wine from the Italian wine region of Puglia.
In the glass, this wine appears in a full ruby red with violet highlights. Fruity aromas unfold in the nose, with black cherries, plums and ripe plums coming to mind first. Add shades of vanilla and rosemary. On the palate, this Italian red wine flatters with dominant fruit, complemented by Mediterranean herbs and sweet spices. A full body and soft tannins provide an absolutely drinking and sweet impression that lasts a long time in the reverberation
.Vinification of the Cantine San Marzano I Tratturi Primitivo
The Cantine San Marzano belongs to a cooperative of around 1500 winemakers who have contributed to the economic recovery of the Puglia wine region to the greatest extent. Various grape varieties have been cultivated for more than 3,000 years. The Cantine San Marzano team led by Mauro di Maggio benefits from the diversity of native varieties and excels in varietal purity as well as in cuvette products. Unique soil conditions naturally reduce the harvest and intensify the quality of the wines. The warm scirocco and high levels of sunlight make it difficult for fungi and insects to grow without pesticides. In the steel tank fermentation is carried out under strict temperature controls and rolling fermentation tanks allow this wine to mature
.Food recommendation for the I Tratturi San Marzano Primitivo
We recommend drinking this wonderful red wine from the south of Italy at a temperature of 15-17°C with short-roasted meat, braised vegetables or pasta with spicy sauces.
