The Siefersheim Höllberg Riesling Large plant of Wagner-Stempel from the oldest and best plots of the VDP.Grosse Lage Höllberg in the wine-growing region Siefersheim in Rheinhessen is a melting, characterful and excellent white wine. This prime location is vinified exclusively from organically grown Riesling grapes.
In the glass, this wine shines in a clear straw yellow with bright golden highlights. The nose is enchanted by a fruity-flowery bouquet. Expressive aromas of juicy peaches, ripe apricots and tropical fruits unfold - especially sun-ripened mango comes to the fore - excellently complemented by floral notes of jasmine and acacia.
On the palate, this German top Rieling convinces with a fresh and animating acidity structure, which results in a wonderful interaction with the concise mineral body. The aromas of the nose are also reflected and support the excellent volume. The finale comes with a great length.
Vinification of the Great Wagner Stempel Höllberg Riesling
Without a doubt, the top location Höllberg can be one of the best and oldest plots of the VDP.Grosser Lagen. After organic cultivation, Riesling vines are cultivated. The vines are rooted in rocky and skeleton-rich gravel and loam soils with an upcoming porphyry furrow in the subsoil.
Only by hand with strict selection are the grapes harvested late in the year. In the Wagner-Stempel wine cellar, after the fermentation process has been completed, the harvested material is aged in stainless steel tanks as well as in the traditional German oak barrel and half barrel
