The light-footed Grünhäuser Riesling 1.5 l Magnum from Maximin Grünhaus comes into the glass with a brilliant light yellow color. When swirling the glass, this white wine is characterized by a wonderful brilliance that makes it dance lively in the glass. Poured into a white wine glass, this Old World white wine presents delightfully complex aromas of lychee, lemon and honeydew melon, rounded out by mineral, mint/melissa and green tea contributed by aging in wooden barrels.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 8.3 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully dense. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Grünhäuser Riesling 1.5 l Magnum presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this well storable white wine from the wine-growing region of the Moselle finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of honeydew melon and lemon appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the slate-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Grünhäuser Riesling 1.5 l Magnum from Maximin Grünhaus
This elegant white wine from Germany is vinified from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Mosel. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of slate. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully crushed.
