More information about Grüner Veltliner Steinfeder Ried Alte Point - Weingut Schmidl
In the glass, the organically produced Grüner Veltliner Steinfeder Ried Alte Point from the Schmidl winery presents a brilliant shimmering platinum yellow color. The first nose of the Grüner Veltliner Steinfeder Ried Alte Point reveals notes of green apple and lemon. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances.
The Weingut Schmidl Grüner Veltliner Steinfeder Ried Alte Point presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This white wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully silky. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Grüner Veltliner Steinfeder Ried Alte Point reveals itself to be fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of lemon and green apple show.
Vinification of the Grüner Veltliner Steinfeder Ried Alte Point by Weingut Schmidl
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Grüner Veltliner. For this wonderfully elegant varietal wine from Weingut Schmidl, only first-class grape material was harvested. After the grape harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully milled. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
