More information about Grignolino del Monferrato DOC - Tenuta Tenaglia
The powerful Grignolino del Monferrato from Tenuta Tenaglia flows into the glass with a dense ruby red color. The aroma of this red wine from Piedmont is characterized by hints of all kinds of red and black berries and dark fruits such as sour cherries and plums. On the palate, the Grignolino del Monferrato from Tenuta Tenaglia starts off wonderfully dry, full-bodied and aromatic. Some wines are dry on the label, others really are. This red wine belongs to the latter, as it was vinified with just 1.7 g of residual sugar. This light red wine is full-bodied and multi-faceted on the palate. With its present fruit acidity, Grignolino del Monferrato is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region, Monferrato DOC to be precise, is convincing with a good aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the clay and marl-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Grignolino del Monferrato from Tenuta Tenaglia
The powerful Grignolino del Monferrato from Italy is a single-varietal wine made from the Grignolino grape variety. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and marl soils in Piedmont. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled. Ageing in wooden barrels is followed by extensive bottle ageing, which makes this red wine even more complex.
Dining recommendation for the Grignolino del Monferrato from Tenuta Tenaglia
