Les Amis von Torbreck is a top-quality red wine from the Grenache grape variety.
This Australian wine convinces with its strong, dark red in the glass. The bouquet is incredibly complex and complex: aromas of white flowers, smoke and roasted herbs unfold - followed by ripe black cherries with filigree earthy notes. On the palate there is a round, full-bodied character with pleasant spiciness. The fresh acidity offers the perfect interaction with the wonderfully ripe tannins. The final comes with excellent length.
Vinification of Torbreck Les Amis
By encouraging wine expert Ignatius Chan, Dave Powell now vinifies this first-class red wine exclusively in new barrels - this vinification is no tradition.
The grapes come from a special plot of Seppeltsfield vineyard in the Barossa Valley. The Grenache vines were planted in 1901.
After careful hand-picking of the grapes, they are immediately taken to the winery. There, the mash is fermented in cement bottles for 7 days. This red wine is then pressed directly into French oak barriques (100% new) with the aid of basket presses. The timber is being expanded for a total of 22 months.
Food recommendation for Les Amis Torbreck Grenache
This dry red wine from Australia is a real treat to roast deer with cranberries, suckling pig fresh from the open grill or to selected cheeses.
