The Pinot Gris from the "Eins zu eins" (one-to-one) series of the Winery A. Diehl presents itself with a beautiful white golden colour in the glass. This varietal white wine from the Palatinate convinces with a fruity, tangy and mineral bouquet full of ripe pears and apples, complemented by delicate nutty notes and mineral-herbal undertones.
On the palate, the Eins zu eins Pinot Gris starts fresh, fruity and wonderfully melting. Fruit acidity and residual sweetness are excellently balanced and give this Palatinate interpretation of the Pinot Gris a real drinkability. In the finale, the Pinot Gris by A. Diehl offers a lot of pressure, a lot of melting and a mineral-fresh finish.
Vinification of A. Diehl Grauer Burgunder Eins zu Eins
As usual in the wine series one to one, this Pinot Gris by Andreas Diehl is also absolutely pure in variety. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, so that the wine reflects its varietal character as unadulterated as possible in the glass. Since the Diehl family vinifies their Pinot Gris as a Kabinett predicate wine, any "tricks of the trade" such as sugaring the musts or the like are prohibited by law. Thus A. Diehl voluntarily commits itself to even higher quality.
His wife Alexandra-Isabell Diehl sums it up
"With our "eins zu eins" wines, the grape variety and the vineyard, but also the climate and the decisions of a whole wine year become unmistakably evident. Authentic and unmistakable."
Recommended food for the Grauer Burgunder Eins zu Eins
We recommend A. Diehl's Pinot Gris to asparagus with butter sauces, veal terrine or to boiled beef.
