More information about Grauburgunder Kaiserstuhl - Weingut Trautwein
The Pinot Gris Kaiserstuhl from the wine-growing region of Baden offers itself in the glass in bright copper gold. In the glass, this white wine from Weingut Trautwein presents aromas of quince and ripe apple, complemented by walnut. The Weingut Trautwein Pinot Gris Kaiserstuhl impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with 3 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the upper price range, this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced white wine is wonderfully silky. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Pinot Gris Kaiserstuhl reveals itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful wine from the wine-growing region of Baden finally inspires with beautiful length. Again, hints of quince and ripe apple appear.
Vinification of the Pinot Gris Kaiserstuhl from Trautwein Winery
The balanced Pinot Gris Kaiserstuhl from Germany is a single-varietal wine, organically vinified from the Pinot Gris grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Pinot Gris Kaiserstuhl is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for several months.
