More information about Gewürztraminer Alto Adige DOC - Cantina Andrian
The Gewürztraminer Alto Adige from Cantina Andrian in Trentino-Alto Adige reveals a dense, copper-golden color in the swirled glass. When the glass is swirled, this white wine reveals a high viscosity, which can be seen in the clear stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. This single-varietal Italian wine flatters the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of roses and oranges. There are also hints of vanilla.
The Cantina Andrian Gewürztraminer Alto Adige is wonderfully dry for wine enthusiasts. This white wine is never coarse or austere, but round and smooth. This melting white wine is full-bodied and multi-faceted on the palate. Thanks to its balanced fruit acidity, Gewürztraminer Alto Adige flatters the palate with a pleasing sensation without lacking freshness. On the finish, this youthful white wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region finally delights with its considerable length. There are again hints of rose and orange. Mineral notes from the limestone-dominated soil are added to the finish.
Vinification of Gewürztraminer Alto Adige from Cantina Andrian
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Gewürztraminer. Only the best grapes were harvested for this exceptionally powerful single-varietal wine from Cantina Andrian. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into limestone soils. Without question, Gewürztraminer Alto Adige is also determined by the climate and viticultural style of Alto Adige/Südtirol DOC. This Italian wine can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, with an exceptionally impressive presentation. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Gewürztraminer Alto Adige can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 6 months.
