Gevrey-Chambertin AC - Geantet Pansiot
More information about Gevrey-Chambertin AC - Geantet Pansiot
The barrel-aged Gevrey-Chambertin AC from the Burgundy wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in bright light red. Held at a slight angle, a transition of the wine color towards garnet red is visible at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. If you give it some air in the glass by swirling, you can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out on the walls of the glass watery or syrupy or liqueur-like. To the nose, this Geantet Pansiot red wine presents all sorts of sour cherries and blackberries. As if that weren't already impressive, the aging in small wooden barrels adds other aromas like pepper.
On the palate, Geantet Pansiot's Gevrey-Chambertin AC starts out wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine presents itself wonderfully dense. In the finish, this very storable red wine from the wine-growing region of Burgundy finally inspires with exceptional length. Once again, hints of sour cherry and blackberry show.
Vinification of the Geantet Pansiot Gevrey-Chambertin AC
The basis for the balanced Gevrey-Chambertin AC from France are grapes from the Pinot Noir grape variety. Gevrey-Chambertin AC is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this French wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the elegant Gevrey-Chambertin AC is aged for several months in French oak barrels.
