more information

The Heritage 462 Languedoc from Gérard Bertrand appears in the glass in a deep dark red with violet reflections. The bouquet of this red wine seduces with the aromas of red and black berries, which are rounded off by licorice, gingerbread spice and a hint of garrigue.

The palate reflects the nuances of the bouquet and delights with its finesse and the gentle tannins. Full-bodied, this lively cuvée goes on for a long reverberation with the accents of roasted coffee and peppery spices.

Vinification of Gérard Bertrand Heritage 462 Languedoc

This cuvée is made from Syrah and Grenache vines. These grapes are picked by hand at their respective optimal ripening times. Then they are vinified separately to obtain the individual characteristics of the grape varieties.

The grapes of the Syrah are macerated for about 15 days at low temperatures, the Grenache grapes are completely destemmed and macerated over a period of 3 weeks. After pressing and alcoholic fermentation, part of the wine is aged for 10 months in French oak barrels. Then it is blended with the other part to a cuvée and bottled after a slight fining. The Terroir Languedoc then rests for a few months in the bottle for refinement.
