Vinification of the Cantina Andrian Gant Merlot Riserva Alto Adige

This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Merlot. Only the best grapes were harvested for this exceptionally powerful single-varietal wine from Cantina Andrian. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and sandy soils in Trentino-Alto Adige. The Gant Merlot Riserva Alto Adige is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the powerful Gant Merlot Riserva Alto Adige is aged for a further 6 months in oak barriques.
