More information about Fontalloro Toscana IGT - Felsina
The Felsina Fontalloro Toscana is a first-class red wine. Here it shows a wonderfully dense, ruby red color. Swirling the glass, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which can be seen in the strong stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. In the glass, this red wine from Felsina reveals aromas of sour cherries, complemented by cedar wood, blueberry and hazelnut. The Felsina Fontalloro Toscana impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine from the Icon wine segment, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. This dense red wine is full-bodied and multi-faceted on the palate. On the finish, this youthful red wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region impresses with its remarkable length. Once again, there are hints of sour cherry.
Vinification of the Fontalloro Toscana from Felsina
This powerful red wine from Italy is made from the Sangiovese grape variety. The Fontalloro Toscana is clearly also determined by the climatic and stylistic factors of Chianti. This Italian wine can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word and is extraordinarily impressive. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the powerful Fontalloro Toscana is aged for several months in French oak barrels.
