Finca la Estacada

Founded in 2001, winery Finca la Estacada is located in the west of the Spanish province of Cuenca, between Madrid and Valencia.

Here it benefits from mild and Mediterranean climate and is without question able to grow very high quality and fruity grapes. For this purpose, Finca la Estacada has at its disposal no less than 278 hectares of land, where mainly Tempranillo is cultivated. The vines have an age of about 25 years, which benefit from the mild climate of the province of Cuenca. The winery Finca la Estacada is known among other things for the production of fine wines, which are popular far beyond the borders of Spain. 

What to expect as a grape at Estacada

The fact that the wines of Estacada are so delicious is not least due to the care with which the grape varieties are planted and the grapes harvested. And this gentle treatment does not stop at vinification. Here, traditional methods are used to get the best out of each wine. Fermentation takes place for a full eight days in a tank made of high-quality stainless steel. Subsequently, the maceration continues for another 20 days. After this procedure, the finished wine finds its way into first-class barrique barrels. In these, the wine can then age for six months before being bottled. After two months in the wine bottles, the wine rounds off perfectly. 

Barrica 6 meses

The winemakers of Finca la Estacada are particularly proud of the unique wines that are produced here in the traditional way. One of them is the Barrica 6 meses. It is characterized by harmonious notes and has aromas of black and ripe fruit. The background is mineral and spicy. The good acidity and the fresh and velvety taste are firmly part of this wine variety.
