More information

The Espiga Tinto from Quinta da Boavista shows itself in a medium dense, ruby red color. The bouquet of this wonderful red wine from Portugal spoils with aromas of juicy black berries and floral notes of violets, rounded off by a hint of mint and laurel.
On the palate, the Espiga Tinto initially has a delicately sweet start, before juicy raspberry aromas join in. The cuvée of Touriga Nacional, Syrah, Tinta Roriz and Castelao is rounded off by a spicy finish.

Espiga is the Portuguese word for ear of corn and here indicates the perfection and complexity of the wine, similar to an ear of corn.

Food recommendation for the Espiga Tinto of Quinta da Boavista

Enjoy this dry red wine from Portugal with hearty dishes of pork and beef (roasts in dark sauces, grilled meats), lamb, game and hard cheeses.
