More information about Espérance de Trotanoy Pomerol AOC - Château Trotanoy

The barrel-aged Espérance de Trotanoy Pomerol from the Bordeaux winemaking region presents a dense purple color in the glass. With some sideways lay, the Bordeaux glass reveals a charming garnet red hue at the rims. Swiveling the wine glass, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, evident in distinct church windows at the rim of the glass. The first nose of Espérance de Trotanoy Pomerol reveals notes of sour cherries, blackberries and black currants. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as cloves, chocolate and black pepper.

The Château Trotanoy Espérance de Trotanoy Pomerol delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Frenchman enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of blackberry and sour cherry. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and gravel are added.

Vinification of the Espérance de Trotanoy Pomerol from Château Trotanoy

This powerful red wine from France is vinified from the Merlot grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and gravel. Espérance de Trotanoy Pomerol is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. When perfect physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for Espérance de Trotanoy Pomerol are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of coarse and barely selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and gently broken up. Fermentation follows in concrete and small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the powerful Espérance de Trotanoy Pomerol is aged for another 18 months in French oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Espérance de Trotanoy Pomerol from Château Trotanoy

This red wine from France is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect to accompany goose breast with gingered red cabbage and marjoram, veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes or vegetable stew with pesto.
