Enate is one of the very big names when it comes to Spanish wine.
The Bodega Enate is located in a traditional wine-growing region of Spain, the Somontano. Somontano means at the foot of the mountains, so here probably protected at the foot of the Pyrenees. The name of the bodega is borrowed from the small village of Enate, located in the Somontano, near Barbastro. There is the largest part of their vineyards.
The wines are produced exclusively from their own grapes and the vineyards are managed according to the principles of organic viticulture. The team of the bodega is young, highly motivated and well trained.
Enate has set high standards from the very beginning. The declared goal is to make wines for the world's best. Jesus Artajona, one of Spain's most distinguished winemakers, is a major contributor. He studied viticulture in Bordeaux and then worked at various wineries in Bordeaux. One of them is the prestigious Chateau Margaux. His signature and credo are wines, shaped by the terroir, with soft tannins and a French-like style. Wines with power and vitality, but above all wines with great elegance.
From the beginning, art has played a central role for Enate. The wines are true works of art, each bottle a reflection of contemporary art. Therefore, Enate has asked all important living Spanish artists to paint for them. The result is an art gallery with more than 100 paintings. To continue the artistic heritage, the collection is completed by young artists, participants of the Enate EnArte Awards. From the paintings in the collection, the motifs for the labels of the wines are selected. Enate is a total work of art all around
