Elephant Sloe Gin by Elephant Gin combines two souls: the taste of Elephant London Dry Gin with the typical aromas of freshly harvested sloes. in the glass, this gin shows an intense, dark red color, naturally cloudy due to the tiny suspended substances and the pulp of the sloes. The bouquet is distinctly round and fruity-sweet. On the palate, the taste is mild, fruity-spicy sloe, but not too sweet, carried by relatively high alcohol content.
Production of Elephant Sloe Gin by Elephant Gin
Only high quality fresh fruit is used for this unusual fruity gin, harvested by hand and carefully selected. After the skin of the sloes is scored with a knife, the fruits macerate in Elephant London Dry Gin. This releases colorants and aromas from the fruit, developing the mildly spicy bouquet with the typical sloe aroma. To achieve the balance between the sour and sweet flavors, only as much sugar as necessary is added at the end. No artificial flavorings are added. Elephant Sloe Gin is not filtered, many natural flavors are preserved and the gin gets its naturally cloudy character.
Elephant Sloe Gin is limited to 999 bottles per batch, and production is subject to constant quality checks. The high quality, as well as the equipment, follow the well-known design of Elephant Gins, with hand-lettered label, hand-twisted cord, natural cork and lead seal.
