In the finish, this youthful wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of quince and ripe apple appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess soil join in.
Vinification of the Winzer Krems Edition Chremisa Grüner Veltliner
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Grüner Veltliner. For this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Winzer Krems, only immaculate grapes were harvested. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of loess soil. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Edition Chremisa Grüner Veltliner are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of punishing and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
