More information about Dornfelder trocken - Michel Schneider
The elegant Dornfelder from the house of Michel Schneider glides into the glass with a bright purple color. This single-varietal German wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of red currant and blackberry in the glass. These are joined by hints of black cherry.
On the palate, Michel Schneider's Dornfelder starts wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic.Despite its dry appearance on the palate, this red wine delights with a delicate melt and elegantly integrated residual sweetness. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine presents itself wonderfully dense. Due to its concise fruit acid, the Dornfelder reveals itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of red currant and blackberry show.
Vinification of the Michel Schneider Dornfelder
The basis for the balanced Dornfelder from the Palatinate are grapes from the grape variety Dornfelder. After harvesting, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Dornfelder from Michel Schneider
This red wine from Germany is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as a companion to braised chicken in red wine, spicy curry with lamb or veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes.
