More information

In the glass, this red wine from CVCB reveals aromas of blackberries, mulberries, plums, blackcurrants and morello cherries, complemented by oak, vanilla and toasted barrique. The Doppio Passo Primitivo Puglia can be described as exceptionally fruit-forward and velvety, having been vinified with a wonderfully mellow flavor profile. On the palate, the texture of this balanced Doppio Passo presents itself wonderfully velvety and dense. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Doppio Passo Primitivo Puglia flatters the palate with a pleasing feeling, without lacking juicy liveliness at the same time. In the finish, this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Apulia finally delights with considerable length. Once again, hints of plum and mulberry appear.

Vinification of the Doppio Passo Primitivo Puglia from CVCB

This balanced red wine from Italy is made from the Primitivo grape variety. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Doppio Passo Primitivo Puglia are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Doppio Passo Primitivo Puglia can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine yeast.

Food recommendation for the Doppio Passo Primitivo Puglia by CVCB

This Italian is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with cod with cucumber-mustard vegetables, lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs or vegetable couscous with beef meatballs.
