Petit Verdot Dominio de Valdepusa DO 2016 - Marques de Grinon
Prices incl. VAT plus shipping costs
From the Spanish wine region D.O. Dominio de Valdepusa comes from the pure grape variety Petit Verdot from Marques de Grinon.
Only a few pure Petit Verdot varieties can compete with this dark purple in the glass. The expressive bouquet is dominated by ripe berries - especially cranberries - and smoky aromas. On the palate this Spanish red wine is very concentrated with a lush fruit of wild raspberries. The rich tannins are very well integrated in the dense body and are accompanied by intense woody notes. The finish of this wine is wonderfully long, present and deep.
Vinification of Marques de Grinon Dominio de Valdepusa Petit Verdot
The Petit Verdot grapes for this red wine grow on limestone and clayey soils on 12-year-old vines.
The grapes are carefully harvested by hand in September. Once the grapes have arrived in the Marques de Grinon cellar, the grapes are gently pressed and the must fermented in stainless steel tanks. Finally, this wine is aged for 12-15 months in French Allier oak barrels.
Food recommendation for the Marques de Grinon Petit Verdot Dominio de Valdepusa
This dry red wine from Spain is a great companion to all kinds of hearty roast dishes. But this wine also goes very well with mature cheeses.
