The Emeritus Dominio de Valdepusa from Marques de Grinon is an expressive, complex red wine cuvée made from the Cabernet Sauvignon (83%), Petit Verdot (11%) and Syrah (6%) grape varieties.
In the glass this Spanish wine shines in a dark ruby red with light violet reflections. The intense and complex bouquet shows complex aromas of dark red and black forest berries, complemented by mint, fine cedar wood, wild roses, cloves, lavender and paprika. On the palate, this cuvée reveals itself as a spectacular and exceptional wine of enormous length.
Vinification of the Marques de Grinon Emeritus
The grapes grow in the Spanish D.O. growing region. Dominio de Valdepusa on 5 year old vines. The soils are rich in limestone and clay.
The harvest begins in mid-September and lasts until mid-October. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand and strictly selected. The grapes are gently pressed in the Marques de Grinon cellar. The resulting mash is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. This Spanish red wine is rounded off for a total of 24 months in French oak barrels.
