Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite)

In the beginning there was only one Château

The Château Lafite Rothschild laid the foundation for all subsequent wineries in 1868. This Château also serves as a model for the viticultural practices at all of the group's wineries. In keeping with the "Lafite Spirit", quality wines of particular finesse and elegance are produced without exception - and this already in the fifth generation. 

Wait, it's already the sixth generation. Because in 2018, the daughter of Baron Éric, Saskia de Rothschild, took over the management of the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). She is assisted by Jean-Guillaume Prats as president and CEO. 

...and the other wineries?

From 1962, Château Duhart-Milon, Château Rieussec and Château L'Evangile were added to the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), consolidating the position of the Rothschild family in the area. But the Rothschild family is not only active in the Bordeaux region:

• Vina Los Vascos in Chile has been part of the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) since 1988.
• The Domaine d'Aussières since 1999 as well as the Argentine Bodegas Caro.
