1959 marks the birth year of the winery Domaine William Fevrè in France.
Domaine William Fèvre - finest Chablis wines
The initial 7 hectares on which vines were cultivated were expanded over time to include more and more plots: today the estate covers 78 hectares, of which
- 15.9 hectares in classified Premiers Crus sites and
- 15.2 hectares in Gran Crus sites.
William Fèvre is one of the largest landowners of Chablis.
The soils
The soils around Chablis were formed in the Kimmeridgian geological stage and are characterized by silt and limestone. They have a high minerality and freshness - characteristics that the wines grown here assimilate and are models for many winemakers around the world.
With passion at work
At the William Fèvre winery, work is done very carefully and with great passion for the wines. All vines are tended using organic farming methods and the ripened fruit is harvested and sorted by hand. The most modern technologies usefully complement the traditional work. Since February 2015, the Domaine has been certified with the "High Environmental Value" (HVE) - this status underlines the respectful approach to nature that William Fevré is committed to. Every step of the winemaking process, no matter how small, is carried out here with care and precision, because this is the only way to produce the excellent wines for which the name William Fèvre stands.
