More information

The enormously concentrated red colour of Dao Rótulo by Niepoort - Quinta da Lomba is reminiscent of a radiant ruby

.

An elegant, subtly floral aroma with notes of wild berries and menthol fills the nose. On the palate, this Portuguese red wine gives itself wonderfully alive with a beautiful acidity and a wonderful variety of aromas of red berries. Despite its voluminous nature, this wine is not heavy and ends in an aromatic, long and well-balanced aftertaste.

Vinification of the Niepoort Dao Rótulo Tinto Magnum Quinta da Lomba

Dao Rótulo is produced from native Portuguese grape varieties (Alfrocheiro Preto, Jaén and Touriga Nacional) of the Dao wine-growing region. The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness, i.e. when the grapes have high acidity and a balanced sugar level. After careful selection, the grapes are completely destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. This wine then matures for 12 months in cement tanks before being filled onto the bottle without clarification and unfiltered

.

Food recommendation for the Magnum Dao Rótulo Tinto von Niepoort

Enjoy this dry red wine from Portugal with traditional Portuguese dishes such as Chouriço (raw sausage), cod from the oven, Arroz de Pato (duck rice) and braised veal

.
