Red wine dry Spain Castile and León (ES) Ribera del Duero DO (ES)
Cruz de Alba - modern & elegant
Ramón Bilbao has only been active in Ribera del Duero for a few years. This wine-growing region in the Castile-León region is crossed by the Duero River and experienced rapid development in the 1980s and 1990s, becoming one of Spain's best-known wine regions. Near the towns of Peñafiel and Roa, Bilbao also bought vineyards and developed the Cruz de Alba concept. This stands for fruit-driven, soft and very modern Ribera del Duero wine with abundant concentration and velvety structure. Already in the first vintages, the concept worked and the Spanish wines of Cruz de Alba reaped abundant success and received many international awards.
