The Crémant de Loire from Louis Despas from the house Bouvet is a full-bodied and fresh sparkling wine from the grape varieties Chenin Blanc (80%) and Chardonnay (20%).
This sparkling wine appears pale golden to amber with a very fine, persistent ascending perlage in the glass. The bouquet is fruity and aromatic with delicate hints of brioche and honey. Full-bodied and fresh on the palate, this delicate Crémant de Loire presents itself with good texture and excellent balance. The finish is characterised by finesse and length.
Vinification of Louis Despas Crémant de Loire
Only the best grapes are selected, which grow in the Maine-Loire areas approved for Crémant. The base wines are produced separately. After the soft pressing and the first alcoholic fermentation of the base wines in stainless steel tanks, they are gently clarified by cold sedimentation and then married to the cuvée before being filled into the bottle for the second fermentation after the méthode traditionnelle. This crémant then matures for many months in the underground chalk limestone cellars of the Saint Hilaire - Saint Florent Abbey.
