More information about Côtes de Bordeaux AOC - Château Puygueraud

The elegant Côtes de Bordeaux from the house of Château Puygueraud shimmers into the glass with bright purple. When swirling the wine glass, one can perceive a first-class balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. The first nose of the Côtes de Bordeaux shows notes of blackberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as black cherry, cassis and vanilla.

This French wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a true quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities, and so this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully dense. In the finish, this wine from the Bordeaux wine-growing region, which can be stored well, finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of blackberry appear.

Vinification of the Côtes de Bordeaux from Château Puygueraud

This balanced red wine from France is cuvée from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Merlot. Côtes de Bordeaux is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for Château Puygueraud Côtes de Bordeaux

Enjoy this red wine from France ideally tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to braised chicken in red wine, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs or boeuf bourguignon.
