More information

The Corte Pitora Amarone from Bennati is an expressive red wine cuvée from the grape varieties Corvina (85%), Rondinella (10%) and Molinara (5%).

In the glass, this Italian wine sparkles in a dark ruby red. The bouquet has multi-layered aromas of ripe plums and juicy cherries with finely floral notes. On the palate, this red wine  is full-bodied with light spice notes and a strong tannin structure. The finale is wonderfully long, elegant and borne by cherry tones.

Vinification of Bennati Amarone della Valpolicella Corte Pitora

North-west of Verona, from the Veneto region, the grapes for this red cuvée come from 15-year-old vines. After carefully picking the grapes, they are mashed into the wine cellar. In the stainless steel tank, the mash is fermented and then aged in large wooden barrels for a total of 24 months. This gives the wine its intense colour, strong tannins and spicy hints.

Food recommendation for the Corte Pitora Bennati Amarone

Enjoy this dry red wine from Italy with dishes of game - for example wild boar roast with blueberry and dumplings - or with spicy cheeses, such as blue cheese.
