Bennati's Corte Pitora Amarone is an expressive red wine blend of Corvina (85%), Rondinella (10%) and Molinara (5%) grapes.
In the glass, this Italian wine sparkles in a dark ruby red. The bouquet multilayered aromas of ripe plums and juicy cherries with fine floral hints. On the palate, this red wine is full-bodied with light spicy notes and a strong tannin structure. The finish is wonderfully long, elegant and is carried by cherry hints.
Vinification of the Bennati Amarone della Valpolicella Corte Pitora
North-west of Verona, from the Veneto growing region, the grapes for this red cuvée come from 15-year-old vines. After the careful manual harvest of the grapes, they are macerated in the winery. The mash is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged in large wooden barrels for a total of 24 months. This gives the wine its intense color, strong tannins and spicy hints.
