More information about Collio Sauvignon Blanc DOC - Marco Felluga

The Collio Sauvignon Blanc from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine-growing region is a bright light yellow in the glass. If you give it a little air in the wine glass by swirling it, you can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it is neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from the Old World displays wonderfully youthful aromas of gooseberry and elderberry, rounded off with pepper.

On the palate, Marco Felluga's Collio Sauvignon Blanc opens wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. This light white wine is balanced and multi-layered on the palate. The finish of this youthful white wine from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine-growing region, more precisely from Collio Goriziano / Collio DOC, is ultimately delightful with a remarkable aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the clay and limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Marco Felluga Collio Sauvignon Blanc

This balanced white wine from Italy is made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and clay. Of course, the Collio Sauvignon Blanc is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors Collio Goriziano /Collio DOC. This Italian wine can literally be described as a wine of the Old World, which is exceptionally youthful. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
