clipper Clarette Rosé is accompanied by a wonderful contradiction. On the one hand, this rosé cuvée was made from the most powerful grape varieties of the Palatinate, on the other hand, this wine offers an elegant drinking flow that is difficult to slow down. This rosé impressively underlines that the triple-award-winning VDP winery Knipser simply vinifies brilliant wines even in the basic segment.
The Cabernet grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc) bring strength - Saint Laurent brings the juice. The Clarette Rosé von Knipser then also comes into the glass with delicate strawberry pink and is fragrantly animating with slight hints of strawberry bowl, wild raspberries and peony. All this is so elegant and multifaceted that we dare not take our nose out of the glass.
On the Clarette von Knipser is written VERY BIG SUMMER and you know exactly - this is the German answer to the Provençal rosé.
Vinification of the Knipser Clarette RoséThe
Bordeaux classics Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot find each other in perfection in this Rosé wine from Palatinate. The Clarette is complemented by various Cabernet crossings from Cabernet Cubin to Cortis. The fact that not only Provence but also Bordelais is quoted here is evident from the name, because it is not far from Clarette to the Clairet wines from Bordeaux. The particularly elegant aroma of the claret is also provided by the particularly cool fermentation of the must in the stainless steel tank after the mash tank extraction was carried out using the Saignée process.
Food recommendation for Clarette Rosé von Knipser

Awards and press reviews for Knipser Clarette
"The Clarette is a revelation and the best of its kind in Germany."
" The rosé never only gets "delicious" here, it shows a clear, dry edge as Clarette."
Vinum Wein Guide 2019
" A wonderfully fresh, fruity-juicy and yet racial wine that sets standards in this category, which is mostly dominated by banal wines and can hardly be found a second time in Germany in this quality."
The gourmet 2015
"Delicious is the Rosé Clarette, from the Cabernet Sauvignon comes the intense fruit, it is bright, not marmallow, neither yogurt nor raspberry shower, but wonderfully juicy and juicy."
