More information about Chianti Classico Riserva Guarnellotto DOCG - Castello San Sano
The Castello San Sano Chianti Classico Riserva Guarnellotto is a first-class red wine in a glass. It has a wonderfully bright ruby red color. If you tilt the glass slightly, you can see a transition of the wine color towards brick red at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. In the glass, this red wine from Castello San Sano presents aromas of sour cherries, complemented by cloves, chocolate and cinnamon. The Castello San Sano Chianti Classico Riserva Guarnellotto is wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or sparse, as you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. This creamy red wine is balanced and multi-faceted on the palate. On the finish, this very storable red wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region impresses with its considerable length. There are again hints of sour cherry.
Vinification of the Castello San Sano Chianti Classico Riserva Guarnellotto
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Chianti Classico Riserva Guarnellotto cuvée from Castello San Sano are Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes. Fermentation then takes place in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the elegant Chianti Classico Riserva Guarnellotto is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels.
