More information about Chianti Classico DOCG - Castello di Gabbiano
Made from Sangiovese (90%), Colorino (5%) and Merlot (5%), Castello di Gabbiano's finesse-rich Chianti Classico DOCG is made from a blend of grapes.
This wine glows a dazzling ruby red color in the glass. With aromas of blackberry and black cherry, this Italian red wine possesses fruity scents on the nose. The bouquet is joined by floral nuances - violets in particular. On the palate, this wine is elegant and fresh with lovely hints of ripe red fruit. The tannins are wonderfully soft and wonderfully integrated into the good body. The finish is convincing with a pleasant length.
Vinification of the Chianti Classico by Gabbiano
The grapes for this Italian wine come from 15-year-old vines. After the grapes arrive at the winery, they are pressed and the resulting must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. After the fermentation process, 60% of this wine is aged for 8 months in large wooden barrels, 20% for 6 months in barriques (third ageing), and 20% for 8 months in cement tanks.
Food recommendation for the Castello di Gabbiano Chianti Classico
