Château Villa Bel Air is located in Saint-Morillon, a village in the French wine-growing region of Graves in the Bordeaux wine-growing region. On 40 hectares, the Sauvignon grape variety grows in the warmer sites and Merlot, Sauvignon and Sémillon in the cooler sites. The vines are protected from bad weather by pine trees that fence the property of Château Villa Bel Air. The adjacent Garonne River provides good thermal regulation and keeps the clay and limestone soils, which are under the surface gravel, moist.
After the Cazes family took over the property, the winery Château Villa Bel Air was extensively restructured: older plots were freshly planted, a modern irrigation system and a new storage facility for the wine barrels were built, and the winery was technologically updated.
