La Masía Chardonnay by Marimar Estate is a wonderfully creamy, grape-varietal white wine from the single vineyard Don Miguel Vineyard in the American wine region Russian River Valley.
In the glass, this wine shines in a rich straw yellow with green-golden highlights. The expressive bouquet reveals intense notes of fresh flowers - especially jasmine and gardenia - sun-ripened citrus fruits and juicy white-fleshy peaches.
The palate of this American white wine is enveloped by a fleshy, wonderfully creamy texture. The lush aromas of the nose of fine yeast notes and a subtle hint of oak perfectly rounded. Furthermore, the finest nuances of vanilla and spices give this wine its size and perfect structure. The finish is wonderfully aromatic and has an outstanding length.
Vinification of Marimar Chardonnay La Masía
At thebeginning of September, the optimally ripe grapes in the Sonoma cultivation area are carefully picked by hand and immediately brought to the wine cellar of Marimar Estate. Carefully squeeze the selected berries as a whole and place the resulting must in oak barrels (60%) and stainless steel tanks (40%) for fermentation. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, this white wine undergoes 100% biological acid degradation. If this is also shot down, La Masía Chardonnay is aged for 10 months on the fine yeast (sur lie). Finally, this wine rounds off on the bottle before it leaves the winery.
The barrels used are used French premium barrels from the Damy (Allier oak) and Rousseau (oak from central France)
