More information about Chardonnay Ried Schüttenberg - Weingut Markowitsch

The barrel-aged Chardonnay Ried Schüttenberg from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria presents itself in the glass in bright golden yellow. If you swirl the glass, you can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, because it does not stand out on the walls of the glass neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. This single varietal Austrian wine shows wonderfully expressive notes of mangoes and oranges in the glass. This is joined by hints of mineral.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 1.1 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Austrian enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully light. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Chardonnay Ried Schüttenberg presents itself on the palate fantastically fresh and lively. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally convinces with considerable reverberation.

Vinification of the winery Markowitsch Chardonnay Ried Schüttenberg

The balanced Chardonnay Ried Schüttenberg from Austria is a single varietal wine, vinified from the Chardonnay grape variety. The Chardonnay Ried Schüttenberg is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, because this Austrian exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of Old World wines. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the elegant Chardonnay Ried Schüttenberg is aged for another 12 months in oak barriques.
