The Knipser Chardonnay *** is the barrique wonder from Knipser. This top white wine from the Palatinate comes into the glass with delicate golden yellow and from the very first moment reveals very lush but never exaggerated fatty notes of tropical fruits such as guava and banana, lemon peel, ripe mirabelle, Williams pear and other yellow fruits. Spicy notes of barrique such as almond and roasted hazelnut but also fine butter caramel and a touch of brioche round off the bouquet of this top wine perfectly.
On the palate, the Chardonnay *** by Knipser reveals a great freshness despite its full-bodied body, which is mainly due to the vital fruit acid. An almost Burgundian elegance, as otherwise only the top winters of Baden can vinify in Germany, characterizes this magnificent cutter Chardonnay. Really grippy and velvety soft in the finals.
Vinification of the Chardonnay *** by KnipserThe
grapes for the Dreistern Chardonnay grow in a real VDP top location, the Großkarlbacher Burgweg. The sublayer „Im Grossen Garten“ with its limestone soil creates perfect conditions for excellently ripened grapes . After the late and highly selective handpicking of perfectly healthy grapes, they immediately come to the winery. After mashing and pressing, the Chardonnay *** from Knipser is fermented in new French oak barriques. It is then left in a barrique for 6 months on the whole yeast, which is stirred regularly.
Food recommendation for Knipser Chardonnay ***This
dry, powerful white wine from Germany is a wonderful accompaniment to noble seafood such as lobster, Norway lobster or crawfish.
