More information about Chardonnay Bourgogne AOC - Pascal Bouchard
Pascal Bouchard's Chardonnay Bourgogne from Burgundy reveals a bright golden yellow color in the wine glass. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. In the glass, this white wine from Pascal Bouchard reveals aromas of honeydew melon and brioche, complemented by honey. This white wine from Pascal Bouchard is just right for wine lovers who like their wine dry. The Chardonnay Bourgogne already comes very close to this, as it was pressed with just 1 gram of residual sugar. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Chardonnay Bourgogne flatters with a soft mouthfeel, without at the same time lacking in juicy liveliness. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Burgundy wine-growing region finally delights with beautiful length. Hints of brioche and honeydew melon are again apparent.
Vinification of the Pascal Bouchard Chardonnay Bourgogne
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Chardonnay. Only impeccable grape material was harvested for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Pascal Bouchard. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the elegant Chardonnay Bourgogne is aged for several months in oak barriques.
