More information about Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru AOP - Domaine Ponsot
In the glass, the Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine Ponsot presents a bright light red color. Holding the glass at a slight angle, a transition of color towards garnet red can be seen at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. To the nose, this Domaine Ponsot red wine presents all manner of red currant, plum and raspberry.
The Domaine Ponsot Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully dense. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Burgundy finally inspires with exceptional length. Once again, hints of red currant and plum show.
Vinification of the Domaine Ponsot Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru
The basis for the balanced Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru from France are grapes from the Pinot Noir grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the elegant Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru is aged for several months in French oak barrels.
