The traditional estate Champagne Irroy
Reims, the capital of Champagne, is the seat of the Champagne Irroy winery. The roots of the estate go back to the time of the Sun King, when the finest vines were cultivated in the vineyards of the Châteaux de Irroy en Champagne and around the Convent of Avenay in the Val d'Or. In the course of the French Revolution, the seat Irroy, as well as the convent was destroyed, but the vineyards remained and continued to be cultivated.
A champagne of a special kind
The house of Champagne Ir roy was founded by Ernest Irroy in Reims in 1820 as a trading house for the sparkling wines he produced. In 1955, the ownership of Champagne Irroy passed to the prestigious champagne house Taittinger, but still produces independently according to its usual quality standards various Chamapgner.
