More information about Chablis 1er Cru Vau de Vey AOC - Brocard
Brocard's organically produced Chablis 1er Cru Vau de Vey shines into the glass with a bright golden yellow color. After the first swirl, one can perceive a first-rate balance in this white wine, as it does not stand out on the glass walls as watery or syrupy or liqueur-like. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from France presents delightfully fragrant aromas of lemon and banana, rounded out by minerality.
On the palate, Brocard's Chablis 1er Cru Vau de Vey opens wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. Some wines are dry on the label, others really are. This white wine belongs to the latter group, having been vinified with only 1 gram of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully dense. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Chablis 1er Cru Vau de Vey flatters with velvety palate sensation without lacking freshness. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Bordeaux wine-growing region finally delights with considerable length. Hints of lemon and banana appear again.
Vinification of the Chablis 1er Cru Vau de Vey from Brocard
The basis for the balanced Chablis 1er Cru Vau de Vey from Bordeaux are grapes from the Chardonnay variety. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures.
