More information about Ceccante Toscana IGT - Azienda Il Grillesino
The Ceccante Toscana from Azienda Il Grillesino in Tuscany reveals a dense, purple-red color in the wine glass. Held at a slight angle, the Bordeaux glass reveals a charming garnet-red hue at the edges. When the wine glass is swirled, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which can be seen in the clear stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. Poured into a Bordeaux glass, this red wine from the Old World presents wonderfully complex aromas of blackberry, fruit bread, blueberry and plum, rounded off with dark chocolate, black tea and oriental spices.
This Italian wine delights with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the finish, this mature red wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region impresses with its considerable length. Hints of dried plums and blackberries are once again evident.
Vinification of Azienda Il Grillesino Ceccante Toscana
This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Cabernet Sauvignon. Only flawless grapes were used for this exceptionally powerful single-varietal wine from Azienda Il Grillesino. The Ceccante Toscana is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled. The ageing in the barrel is followed by a long maturation in the bottle, which makes this red wine even more complex.
